Cree Lake Gold Project–
Site of a New Gold Discovery

The new gold zone, discovered this past summer, is characterized as an incipient quartz stockworks and located 150-meters northeast of the high grade Flint Rock occurrence. The zone, cut by drill hole CL09-6 returned a drill intercept of 2.053 gpt over 15.5-meters, it includes a high grade assay of 11.55 gpt over 0.8-meters. A follow-up trenching program has confirmed the extent of the zone 50-meters beyond the drill collar with assay results as high as 43.2 gpt.

Trenching conducted immediately west of hole CL09-6 along a 50-meter length exposed bedrock that exhibits a zone of intermittent quartz veining and shearing over a 10-meter width hosted in volcanics. Spot cut and grab samples within this zone, yielded a 46% return of samples with significant gold values ranging from 0.61gpt to 43.2 gpt.  The average gold grade for these samples is 6.467 gpt. These results significantly increase the gold mineralization potential of the Cree Lake property. They continue to confirm that the volcanic host rock is mineralized by a series of veins related to the incipient stockwork vein system intersected 50 meters to the east in hole CL09-6. Stockworks mineralized systems potentially form larger deposits and targets. This new

discovery, of a vein system with an incipient stockwork network carrying disseminated pyrite provides a larger mass for geophysical tracing and is more amenable to definition drilling as well. An image log of drill hole CL09-6 and assay intervals is available for viewing on the website.

The system hosts gold grades not unlike those initially encountered at West Timmins Mining Inc.’s and Lakeshore Gold Corp’s Thunder Creek property, where initial intercepts graded 0.82 gpt over 25.6-meters. The spatial association of producing gold mines and gold mineralization with regional breaks or faults is well established in the gold camps of Ontario. The Ridout deformation zone, a 130-kilometer long structure with which the Cree Lake fault is associated, hosts past producers such as the Jerome Mine, Tyrranite mine, Kenty Mine as well as numerous gold showings.

The Cree Lake property is located 200-kilometers northwest of the city of Sudbury, Ontario and 125-kilometers southwest of the city of Timmins, Ontario. The property consists of 19-claims totaling 4,032-hectares in Swayze township.

The Cree Lake project encompasses the Flint Rock occurrence, a high grade gold showing that produces bonanza grade samples up to 1,300 gpt and visible gold.

In 2008, Mantis stripped, mapped and sampled the Flint Rock gold occurrence. Sampling of the trench yielded extremely encouraging values with 17% of the samples delivering high grade gold values greater than 34 grams and one bonanza grade sample of 1,300 grams. The gold mineralization is associated with quartz-pyrite-galena-chalcopyrite vein(s) within a 1.5 to 2.0 meter shear zone. The stripping exposed the zone for an approximate 100-meter length.

South of Cree Lake a gold anomalous sulphide iron formation extends for 1,300-meters along strike.

The formation occurs at the southern edge of the Cree Lake fault and Mantis’ claims cover 6-kilometers of potential strike length of this highly favorable gold bearing horizon.
